CORONATION STREET: Lloyd continues to fall for stripper Cheryl despite warnings that she may not have the same feelings for him.
Eileen tells her boss not to get hurt but it may already be too late for the smitten taxi boss. He picks a distraught Cheryl up from the strip club, where she’s in mid-row with her boss, and he’s appalled to see her black eye.
Jumping to conclusions he storms into the club and causes a scene before he is beaten up by bouncers.
EMMERDALE: Squatter Shadrach is finally thrown out by Carl when his drunken behaviour oversteps the mark once and for all. But the wily old man may not be homeless for long after drowning his sorrows and wandering into the path of a car driven by Marlon.
Marlon and locum vet Rhona, their first date ruined, drive him to hospital for treatment

It’s the ability to act in spite of fear and overwhelming opposition. It’s the ability to act in spite of hardship, despair and sometimes, imminent personal physical danger.
Ask yourself, Who’s the most courageous individual you’ve personally known? Next, who’s the most courageous person you can identify throughout history? Now, what were the courageous characteristics that caused you to choose these individuals? My personal favorite is Winston Churchill. At the end of World War I, Churchill was in charge of the British navy. After a major naval defeat, he was removed from office and then had to endure more than 20 years of rejection of his political views. He admittedly suffered some very low times. But he never wavered on his beliefs. His views were eventually proven correct when the Germans swept through Europe, and Churchill was the obvious choice to become Britain’s wartime prime minister.
Everyone automatically looked to him in this time of need because they knew where he stood and they witnessed him display courage in battle, putting himself in harm’s way over and over again.

These changes can cause
acne in adult women between two and seven days before their
menstrual cycle.
5. Pregnancy and hormones
Pregnant women also experience a fluctuation in hormones.
Those who may have previously had little or no acne may see
pimples during their pregnancy and for a time after the birth of
the baby until the hormone levels return to normal.
6. Menopause and hormones
Menopause will cause changes in hormone levels for woman and can
be a cause of acne. Women also tend to wear heavy makeup when
experience an acne outbreak, which only worsens the problem by
further clogging pores.
7.Stress.
Especially in adults, stress can be another cause of acne. When you are stressed, the hormone cortisol is produced.
Cortisol will worsen any acne you already have. To prevent
stress-related acne, try relaxation and meditation.
Some adults experience acne from picking at blemishes on their
skin. You should never pick at or squeeze a pimple, blackhead or
any other blemish on your face.
This can only cause more acne and possibly an infection. When cleaning your face, avoid harsh facial cleansers(they cause
the creation of more sebum) and scrubbing your
face too vigorously.
Acne treatments
The sad part is that most of the acne products are sold over the
counter for treatment.
Most over-the-counter acne treatments are topical and come in
the form of a cream, soap, lotion or gel.
Acne products normally contain benzoyl peroxide (good for
killing the bacteria and possibly reducing oil production),
sulfur (helps eliminate blackheads and whiteheads) and/or
salicylic acid (cuts down the speed of cell lose).
More severe cases may require prescription acne medicine that is
topical or oral.
Oral acne medication can help reduce both the growth of the
bacteria and inflammation of glands.

Isn’t that enough?
3. I have registered with an agency. They have offered to write my CV free of charge. Why should I pay for one?
4. I have seen a CD-ROM based programme for producing resumes. Why not use this?
5. My friend has just got a job with a CV he wrote himself. I can probably do the same, can’t I?
6. Why use Top Professional Resumes Limited?
And the answers to those questions:
1. Why have my resume written by somebody else? I know what I have done and where I’ve worked, so why go to a third party?
This is probably the most frequently-asked question we get. There are a number of reasons to have your CV or Resume written by a professional.
Firstly, the majority of people cannot be objective enough to do it properly. What you regard as your greatest strength or achievement may not be relevant to the target employer or job you are applying for, and you will almost certainly not appreciate the degree of weighting to apply to those strengths and achievements if they are relevant.

You make your interaction with them into positive emotional experiences. They need to feel compelled to share those stories with other people. Spend some time thinking about the best interaction that someone has had with you. What is the one compelling story about you that elicits a positive reaction in others? Now imagine someone telling another person that story. What feelings do you think a total stranger would have if your best customer told that story?

MAHANOY CITY – More than 90 members of a Maryland church are spending time in Mahanoy City this week on a parish mission to help others wherever they can.
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church is hosting the parish mission of Jesus the Divine Word Roman Catholic Church in Huntingtown, Md. The group is assisting with the parish’s Vacation Bible School, making home repairs, painting, gardening, visiting the elderly and offering prayerful and spiritual support to the parish and community.
“We are so happy to be here. I love this town and smallness of it, the closeness of the houses and how the people are together,” said Divine Word parishioner Donna Wertz, who is the parish secretary.
The mission is led by the Rev. Daniel Leary, Divine Word’s pastor, who has spent his time visiting nursing and personal care homes and the homebound to provide prayers, blessings and companionship.
Leary is also conducting retreats in the evenings

Soluble fibers can be found in many fruits and vegetables. These nutrients help to slow down the absorption of glucose in the intestine, which can help to keep blood sugar levels from getting too high and causing a hyperglycemic reaction. One great source of soluble fiber is the kidney bean. When cooked, these beans have one of the highest levels of soluble fiber found in foods. While soluble fibers can be quite helpful towards diabetic issues, insoluble fibers such as bran and whole grains can be helpful as well. Insoluble fibers help to keep the intestinal tract clean, and this can help you by assuring that glucose isn?t just waiting around to be absorbed.
The American Dietetic Association (ADA) recommends several tips to maintaining a healthy blood sugar level while adhering to a healthy diet.

As I do so, I look over
and see a plastic hair protector (I don’t know
what the real name of them are. Elderly people
wear them to cover there hair up from rain)
covering my books and what I wrote at the coffee
shop.
It was then I realized what God had just
allowed to happen. The same women I just helped
had taken off her headwear and put it over my
books protecting them from the rain. “What do you
want from my heart today Lord, was just answered.”
I didn’t know this lady, nor did she know me or my
car. That wasn’t the message. The message was
we
reap what we sow. Whatever you want for your
heart, you must sow. Isn’t that just like God to
answer our prayers by teaching us something?
Whatever your heart needs or desires give it
away. Give it away until your heart becomes a
reservoir of life. Is your heart a canal or is it
a reservoir? Is it overflowing or just passing
by? Try giving something precious of yours away
this week. Maybe it’s time, maybe it’s money,
maybe it’s processions.

0 Comments | Times of India, The, Jul 27, 2010
Several of us suffer from nasty in-growths. But have heart, hair in-growth is a problem faced by women all over the world.
It happens when a thin layer of skin grows over the new growth of hair on your body. Hair in-growth can occur if you use incorrect methods for hair removal, are too rough during the process and even because of a hormonal imbalance. Post shaving and waxing, if you suffer from in-growths and problems like itching, rashes or an infection, it’s time to take some action. Here’s what you can do to avoid this problem…
- Remember to moisturise your skin frequently. Dry skin is more prone to in-growth. – If you wear very tight fitting attire, it could lead to changing the direction of hair growth resulting in in-growths

The Oxford scholar, Sir Kenneth Dover, who died this week, has been wrongly portrayed as attention-seeking. Peter Jones sets the record straight about this brilliant and modest man
It is not difficult to see why the greatest Greek scholar of his generation, Sir Kenneth Dover, who died last Sunday, was a man who attracted controversy. His edition of Aristophanes’ comedy Clouds (1968) was the first to go into the same detailed explanation of its sexual jokes as of its textual cruces. Readers were appalled: surely you did not pick up a classical text to read about the relationship between erections and pre-ejaculation fluid?
That it was the finest commentary ever produced on every aspect of a comedy featuring the controversial figure of Socrates seemed to pass people by.
His Greek Homosexuality (1978) caused even more of a rumpus. In the Preface he argued that ‘heterosexual’ and ‘homosexual’ were not antithetical terms, but that homosexuality was a sub-division of the ‘quasi-sexual’ or ‘pseudo-sexual’. He went on: ‘I am fortunate in not experiencing moral shock or disgust at any genital act whatsoever, provided that it is welcome and agreeable to all the participants (whether they number one, two or more than two) . . . no act is sanctified, and none is debased, simply by having a genital dimension.’ This was not coat-trailing.
Dover was simply explaining his own attitudes towards a deeply sensitive subject central to our understanding of ancient Greek life, as a preliminary to writing the first ever serious book about it
